Shazia Mirza is an award winning British stand up comedian and writer who works internationally touring the US, Sweden, Denmark, France, Holland, Germany and the Far East and Asia. She has appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV), CBS 60 Minutes, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Have I got News for You (BBC), and The Late Late Show (RTE).

Radio Appearances include BBC Radio Scotland, a regular slot on Radio 2’s Vanessa Feltz Show- Pause For Thought, The Now Show on BBC Radio 4, With Great Pleasure Radio 4, Between Ourselves, The Frank Skinner Show and A Good Read.

As a writer Shazia formerly penned a fortnightly column for The New Statesman for which she won ‘Columnist of the Year 2008’ at the prestigious PPA Awards. She has written for the Guardian for many years and had a weekly column in their Weekend magazine entitled ‘Dairy of a Disappointing Daughter’. She has also written for The Financial Times and the Daily Mail.
